Position Overview

The role of the IT Manager is to help maintain and improve Periscope’s IT infrastructure and cybersecurity posture. The individual will be responsible for managing the firm’s IT infrastructure, including Active Directory, endpoint management software, workstations, servers, network equipment, office infrastructure, among others. The individual must be able to adapt to new systems and environments effectively, ensuring the firm is always up to speed with modern technologies, processes, and standards. The IT Manager will also be actively involved in drafting, maintaining, and testing disaster recovery and business continuity processes, including coordinating with the Director of Technology and COO on advancing the firm’s technological capabilities.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee, maintain, and improve the firm’s IT infrastructure
• Implementation of best-practice architecture and security
• Hardware and software order fulfilment and license management
• Planning, documentation, and testing for disaster recovery and business continuity
• Troubleshooting both hardware and IT software issues
• Identify and remedy potential security vulnerabilities
• Help draft, maintain, and update IT documentation, including policies and procedures around hardware and software, disaster recovery plan, and business continuity plan.
• Active involvement and lead role in IT meetings and technology projects

• Have an entrepreneurial spirit and be a self-starter
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• 3+ years’ experience in an IT role
• Proficiency in a Microsoft 365 environment (Azure AD, Endpoint Manager, SSO, related apps)
• Superb knowledge of Microsoft Office and related apps
• Experience working with both local and cloud (AWS) environments
• Ability and willingness to adapt to new systems, software, processes, and standards
• Undergraduate degree in engineering, information technology, computer science, or a related field
