ROLE STATEMENT:The Iron Maintenance Technician will be a member of the Maintenance Department responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the iron. Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Manager, the Iron Maintenance Technician will focus on overall maintenance and recording of all iron for the District.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Work safely in accordance with all company safety policies, procedures, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
  • Responsible for handling including in relation to banding and issuing
  • Coordinate with third party vendors related to iron repair
  • Responsible for both pre and post job iron counts to ensure accurate inventory recordings
  • Accountable for ensuring a clean and safe work area
  • Assist with inventory count and record daily use of inventory
KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts (shift work, day shift, night shift)
  • Follow and enforce safe work procedures, codes, and regulations
  • Energetic self-starter, able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Able to handle multiple tasks by prioritizing and maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Work and inspire others to work at high performance levels
  • Knowledge of coil tubing, fracturing, and truck and trailer an asset but not required
  • Team player with the ability to conduct work with professionalism
  • This position is considered to be a Safety Sensitive Position and may require additional screening
  • This position has bona fide physical requirements and may require additional screening (please refer to the applicable Physical Demands Profile)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License required
  • Satisfactory Drivers Abstract required
  • Extensive familiarity with oilfield terminology and equipment
  • Possesses all related safety certificates such as: First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, H2S
  • Prior experience with iron maintenance considered and asset
