StarFish Medical is looking for an experienced Inventory and Logistics Coordinator to join their Manufacturing team in Toronto, ON. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager the Inventory and Logistics Coordinator is the key contact for all supply ordering, both inbound and outbound logistics and inventory control ensuring that stock is organized, and accurate. Additionally, they identify and improve process gaps in the materials flow from receiving to finished goods by working with all stakeholders to resolve issues within the process

Your day as an Inventory and Logistic Coordinator may include:

  • Reviewing and improving Inventory Control procedures through evaluation of the process flow, identifying gaps and matching system transactions and recommending improvements for the purpose of building efficiencies from receiving through to production builds.
  • Participating in associated process improvements outside of Inventory Control where those processes impact the flow of parts and goods
  • Leading and developing process development for controlling non-stocked inventory
  • Completing daily cycle count of parts and finished goods to meet department metrics
  • Picking/issuing work orders and sales orders
  • Stock put away and maintaining floor stock of POU and Kanban items
  • Organizing and maintaining cleanliness of the controlled inventory areas, including finding solutions for space challenges through re-layout of controlled inventory areas

Our ideal Inventory and Logistics Coordinator candidate brings:

  • Degree/Diploma preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with logistics, inventory control, or production control in a manufacturing environment is desired
  • Experience in International shipping and FEDEX Manager /UPS World Ship systems experience is required
  • Ability to get a Transport of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certification required, previous experience is an asset
  • ERP/ MRP experience desired
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO9001,13485 is beneficial
