Due to the impact of addiction on families, specialized programs and support are also offered for family members, including children. In addition to providing treatment, Renascent actively engages communities through the Renascent Foundation to raise awareness, funds, and resources for the treatment and prevention of addiction.
To help meet the growing need for addiction treatment and services, Renascent developed its Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program over the course of the pandemic to address the lack of intensive treatment programs in the health care system and the rapidly growing wait times for addiction treatment.
About the position:
Reporting to the Outpatient Supervisor, the Intensive Outpatient Program Coordinator contributes to the day-to-day operations of the Intensive Outpatient Program. The primary focus is on planning, analyzing, and coordinating daily operations and for the Intensive Outpatient Program, IOP Continuing Care Program, Renascent’s Pre-Treatment Program, and supporting the Program Supervisor and team.
Role & Responsibilities:
The position includes, but is limited to the following;
  • Act as a primary point of contact with third-party referents on all corporate reporting for clients engaged in IOP, IOP Continuing Care, and ensure all reports reflect the quality and professionalism of the organization.
  • Embrace a client-centered approach that will provide a positive experience by improving client services and streamlining access to programming for IOP, IOP Continuing care, and Pre-treatment program clients.
  • Aid delivery of IOP Programming and related services that fully supports and aligns with Renascent’s strategic goals and business objectives while meeting Renascent Program and Accreditation Standards and Government Requirements.
  • As a member of the Intensive Outpatient Program Team, contribute and function within a team environment and perform duties in a professional manner; participate in professional accreditation, training and career development, and performance management. Occasionally, you will be asked to fill in when the AC Manager is away.
  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of screening, intake and assessment, admission, orientations, counselling, and referral processes.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of patient information.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely while meeting the highest standards of professionalism internally and externally.
  • Ability to interact in a positive manner and communicate with co-workers.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent distractions.
  • Effectively develop relations and work with others in a supportive and constructive manner to promote continuous growth.
  • Are self-aware and open to change by being enthusiastic, flexible, and forward-thinking.

Qualifications:
  • College or university diploma in social services, and/or work experience in the field of addictions.
  • Self-directed with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage confidential/sensitive information.
  • ICADC certification or working towards certification in 12 Core Functions of Substance Abuse Counselling an asset.
  • First Aid Certification.
