Installation Technician Audio VisualJob DescriptionAV Works is an established audio-visual company based in St. Albert, and services the surrounding region. We are looking for an Experienced, Friendly and Customer focused Installation Technician.Position OverviewInstall and maintain audio visual equipment including but not limited to: site inspections, pulling cable, installing / terminating racks, mounting display devices, projectors, TV’s, camera systems, door bells, security systems, video teleconferencing systems (VTC), microphones and speakers, installation of custom audio and video systems, Clare home automation systems, home projection theatres, commercial applications, wired and wireless network systems.Experience

• 3 years AV installation experience.
• 2 years AV INSTALLATION experience.
• Field support – diagnosis and fixing.
• Reading plans and blueprints.
• Must be familiar with construction sites.

• Install, setup and provide training on equipment for clients.
• Perform equipment additions, removals, repairs, replacements and inspections.
• Troubleshooting and repairing equipment as needed.
• Prioritize and complete service orders accurately and timely.
• Technically competent with excellent time management.
• Flexible, organized, reliable, and always on time.
• Report writing and task tracking. ie fill out and complete Jobber.
• Measuring and drilling locations for display mounts / speakers / cameras.
• Perform work assignments in a safe manner and within specified cost / time limits.
• Promote, build, and maintain good customer relations.
• Attention to detail.
• Applicant must be computer savvy.
• Knowledge of a/v control platforms and remote controls.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational/Technical Degree in electrical, security, or computer systems preferred
• A thorough knowledge and understanding of A/V systems
• IP Video and IT experience preferred

Eligibility Requirements

• CSTS Training
• Current First Aid
• Must provide Drivers Abstract
• Must provide Criminal Background Check
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in Canada
• Must provide proof of vaccination
• Provide own basic tools
• Must live within 25 km. of Edmonton
• Must speak, read, write and understand English fluently
