TalentSphere Staffing has partnered with an industry leader in the Commercial HVAC and Industrial Controls Systems Space.

Our client is looking to hire an Industrial Combustion Technician their Greater Toronto Area location.

The position will be on a full-time permanent basis.

The Industrial Combustion Technician is primarily responsible for providing configuration, service, start up, and commissioning of combustion process equipment and boiler controls systems in manufacturing and industrial plants.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Service

• Routine maintenance combustion system safety controls and instrumentation
• Gas train service and maintenance
• Troubleshooting and repairing combustion system including, burner management systems, fuel delivery systems, combustion air systems, electrical/control systems.
• Diagnosing burner/appliance technical issues and work with solutions group to solve difficult problems.

Qualifications & Experience

• Post-secondary education in Gas Technician Course or an equivalent course
• G1 or G2, license from TSSA required, Ideal candidate will have G1 License
• Proven ability to develop an understanding of the entire combustion/boiler processes and applies knowledge in performing system diagnosis, start up and commissioning
• Proven clean driving record is required
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively troubleshoot industrial control systems
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English with the ability to effectively present to clients and management team. Fluency in more than one language is an asset
• Able to work under minimal supervision
• Effective time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Able to work on-call and overtime hours as required
