HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER


As a member of the human resources (HR) team, the HR Business Partner will be the first point of contact to prospective and existing staff of the Company. The position will deliver integrated HR solutions in support of our corporate and divisional business strategies. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is working towards a HR designation or looking to expand their HR knowledge working for a North American Energy Services Company.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Performs full cycle recruitment; such as creation of recruitment plans, job postings, job descriptions, screening applicants, interviews, pre-employment screening, offer packages and collection of HR related documentation.
  • Looks to continuously improve the overall client engagement process; such as identifying creative methods to improve the quality of applicants, interview process or onboarding experience.
  • Participates in the resolution of employee issues including any performance and disciplinary processes.
  • Compiles HR reports and analysis data for management.
  • Participates in other HR-related duties such as compensation changes, contract extensions, tracking job descriptions and performance reviews, employee engagement or market surveys, and continuous improvement of HR systems and practices.
  • Provides guidance, clarification, and assistance on employment-related policies, programs and procedures and escalates feedback or exceptions to the Corporate HR Manager, as required.
  • Responsible for processing leaves such as furloughs, disability or other leaves as required.
  • Assist management team to coordinate recognition programs and social events.
  • Communicates any staff changes to payroll and other corporate service departments in a timely and organized fashion.
  • Supports an effective and respectful offboarding process for exiting employees.
  • Maintains employee data in the Ceridian Dayforce HR system.
  • Other HR-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • 2-5 years human resources experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of US or Canadian Human Rights, Labor Standards, and Wage & Hour
  • Proven ability to work with confidential information with integrity and discretion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ceridian Dayforce software experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office particularly Word and Excel
  • Possesses or working towards HR designation
