Your opportunity

We are currently seeking candidates for a Human Resources Business Partner. The successful candidate can be based from any Dillon office across Canada.

Responsibilities

What your day will look like

Project Management (22%)
  • Manage a variety of human resource programs that support the operational and strategic needs of the business
  • Manage projects of new or evolving HR programs
HR Business Partner (75%)
  • Support internal clients and the talent management team by providing information and assistance related to talent programs and services.
  • Support internal clients by providing seasoned advice and support on relevant policies and procedures, and address employee issues and inquiries.
  • Prepare and analyse various human resources analytical reports focused on a variety of metrics including retention, turnover, etc.
  • Coordinate employment, relocation and transfer agreements.
  • Contribute to compensation analyses and coordination of annual salary review process.
  • Contribute to career development and training programs
  • Contribute to and administrative support to the staff allocation and workflow planning processes including:
    • reports related to the allocation and workflow planning of staff.
    • ongoing review and analysis of projected staffing needs and resources.
    • liaison with senior management and staff across the country.
  • Coordinate staffing requests and staff mobilizations.
  • Contribute to the leadership of Dillon’s HR team.
  • Oversee and contribute to other HR activities as assigned.
Learning and Development (3%)
  • Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development
  • Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring
  • Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees
Qualifications

What you will need to succeed
  • Post-secondary degree in a human resources program, or related field
  • CHRL designation (completed or in progress) is highly preferred
  • 5+ years’ recent experience ideally in a human resources generalist function
  • Proficiency in MS Office software (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Experience
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively within a collaborative, professional, and dynamic human resources team environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and be well-organized, detail-oriented and results-focused
  • Demonstrated ability to distill, analyze and report on a range of HR and business data
  • A proven track record of handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
