About the Position
Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, the HR Advisor is responsible for providing support and assistance to leadership and staff on HR programs, policies and processes.

Your Duties
  • Provides HR support to leaders through the recruitment lifecycle, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, selection, on-boarding and off-boarding.
  • Participates in the development and administration of the Company’s total rewards programs, including pay and benefit programs.
  • Administers the company’s performance management program.
  • Updates and creates policies as required.
  • Consults and supports leaders on employee relations and disciplinary issues;
  • Maintains employee HRIS database and Company organizational charts, ensuring HR information is updated and reported accurately.
  • Identifies gaps in internal HR processes and procedures, and recommends improvements.
  • Ensures effective communication of new or revised HR policies and programs.
  • Manages Company benefits plan, including disability management.
  • Facilitate front-line supervisor training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with Force Inspection’s Health & Safety program and Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.

Your Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of progressive human resources experience in a generalist capacity.
  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • CPHR preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of Employment Standards (Alberta) required.
  • Experience with HRIS systems -- ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with all HR matters in a confidential and professional manner.
  • Strong ability to coach a variety of managers.
  • Must work effectively with business leaders to ensure results among competing priorities.
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy is essential.
  • Sound analytical thinking, problem solving, planning, prioritization and execution skills.
  • Strong work ethic, with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Self-starter with strong problem solving, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
