HR RECRUITERSSI Schaefer System, a global leader of automated material handling systems and solutions, is currently offering an opportunity for an HR Recruiter to be part of our Human Resources Operations. This position will be a remote position.Position OverviewThe HR Recruiter will be responsible for the administration and implementation of the human resources and safety policies, procedures, and programs in Canada. The role includes the following essential functions: recruiting, human resources, health and safety, payroll and other duties as assignedEssential FunctionsRECRUITING- Recruitment and staffing logistics, including identifying job specifications, targeting applicants, screening candidates, conducting job interviews, pre-employment checks
- Implement improvements in the Talent Acquisition process
- Onboarding activities including performing employee orientation and facilitating new employee training
- Respond to employee HR related phone calls and inquiries with appropriate information
- Employee development, training and performance management
- Support compensation planning and research
- Coach managers on employee performance and conflict resolution
- Provide counselling to employees and managers on policies and procedures
- Research and lead initiatives to improve company culture and employee alignment
- Create and implement employee related programs – Health and Wellness, Engagement, etc.
- Update and improve the employee handbook in accordance to employment standards with the creation of new company policies and best practices
- Create and update HR related forms for increased efficiency and workflow
- Conduct investigations to complete injury reports with WSIB, WBC and CNESST authorities
- Conduct investigations in the workplace including harassment, complaints, Health and Safety
- Follow up and assist managers and employees on HR matters
- Assist with the execution and research of HR projects as required
- Administration of payroll/HRIS to create and maintain accurate records
- Work with managers to resolve timesheet exceptions and allocate labour costs to appropriate cost centers
- Respond to internal pay related inquiries from employees in a timely manner
- Assisting the payroll department and accounting as required
- University degree or diploma in Human Resources/Payroll, or in related field
- Minimum 2 years of related experience supporting HR and Recruitment functions, or in equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Experience using an HRIS system
- Strong working knowledge of employment legislation
- Strong working knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements
- Great communication skills both oral and written; as well as presentation and delivery skills (English)
- Ability to communicate fluently in French is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Completion of, or working towards, CHRP or CPM is considered an asset
- Understanding of Employment Standards, and Workers Compensation across ON, AB and QC
- Strong ethics and reliability
- Able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and self-manage
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills
- Able to respond appropriately to situations with a calm and steady demeanor.
- Police check will be required
