SummaryThis role collaborates with the team and interacts across all functions of Aversan through the HR Operations Department. This position provides direct support including but not limited to continuously checking-in with employees, ensuring company is following HR processes, maintaining a health working culture at Aversan, completing data analysis, supporting logistics and communication within the HR Team. This role is critical to keep the department in motion and you will be able to develop and grow your skills by being exposed to many different avenues throughout the HR Department.Responsibilities
  • Lead the employee lifecycle events for Employees (New Hires, Onboarding, Terminations) including updating documents and procedures as required
  • Maintain the system, ensuring date quality and accuracy as well as analyzing date information in the HRIS system
  • Maintain Employee files
  • Point of contact for staff with respect to policies and practices
  • Ensure HR Programs and initiatives comply with provincial and national legislation
  • Manage the tracking of vacation time, sick time, and personal leaves as required
  • Maintain current knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and procedures
  • Assistant with HR Initiatives, events, training, and administrative duties
  • Responsible for day to day administrative duties within the HR department;
  • Answering phone and handling all incoming inquiries, taking meeting minutes, Coordinating events, etc.
  • Provide support to in-house recruiters
  • Participate in the job evaluation process
  • Conduct reference checks
  • Benefits administration
  • Maintain employment related documents in Word/Excel/PDF
  • Ensure all recruitment activities are properly documented and compliant with applicable employment laws, company policies, HR best practices, and relevant legislation.
Qualifications
  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent
  • CHRP Designation is an asset
  • Ability to effectively handle challenging and sensitive situations while maintaining confidentiality and using sound judgment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels within the organization
  • Relevant HR experience, at least 3 years
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to take on the initiative, work independently as well as part of the team
  • Extremely organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Administrative support experience, preferably in an HR or Recruitment setting is an asset;
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System would be an asset;
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.);
  • Strong sense of urgency, organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, enthusiastic, and capable of working in a fast-paced team environment;
  • Adaptable team player, problem solver, and a positive demeanor with a willingness to learn
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
