Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, the Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the department (arrival/departure/group/VIP) and ensures that company standards are met. This person will work closely with the front desk and engineering department. As the industry is ever-changing, the responsibilities of this position will change and evolve accordingly.

Responsibilities:

Supervise a team of employees
Plan and assign tasks to staff members
Adjust schedules based on occupancy levels
Manage stocks of cleaning products and guest supplies
Ensure compliance with rules and procedures
Participate in employee performance management
Ensure proper application of the collective agreement
Ensure the health and safety of personnel
Coordinate services with external companies/suppliers
Coach and mentor employees
Inspect rooms
Participate in the disciplinary process
Ensure quality customer service and manage customer complaints

Required Qualifications:

A college diploma in hotel management is an asset
2 years of experience in a similar position in the hotel industry
Experience in a unionized environment is an asset

Languages: Bilingualism (French and English), both oral and written, is required for this position as we serve an international clientele.
