Key Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for someone who is willing to be the face of our venue, leaving a positive first impression on our guests. The candidate must have experience in a fast-paced venue and be a quick learner that can provide great customer service. Through a strict set of guidelines for operation of guest services and with COVID-19 protocols in place the candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper safety measures, sanitizing hands, and ensuring areas are safe for customers.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests in a friendly manner
• Ensure guests complete COVID-19 protocols upon arrival
• Escort guests to assigned seats
• Coordinate with wait staff able available seating options
• Notify server/managers of important notes (allergies/special requests)
• Assist wait staff as needed
• Ensure coat check is organized and presentable
• Always uphold all COVID-19 policies and sanitation
• Ensure Instagram check-list is being followed during service

Requirements:

• Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess or Waiter/Waitress- 2-3 years preferred
• Smart Serve Certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be proficient in a reservations system such as bookenda, sevenrooms or opentable
• Understand restaurant etiquette; product knowledge of products we offer - Bar, Food, Take Out & Retail
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area
• Able to walk/stand during entire shift and carry up to 20KG
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff members
• Excellent communication skills on the phone and in person
• Available to work morning, evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: From $17.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekend availability

Experience:

• Food Service Hosts: 1 year (preferred)
• hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
• customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Smart Serve Certification or equivalent (preferred)
