The Hockey Shop – Graphic Design – Temporary Full-Time - Contingent upon Grant Approval

The Hockey Shop Source for Sports is looking to add a Temporary Full-Time Graphic Designer to our team. We have applied for the Innovate BC tech grant and this job posting is contingent upon approval. This is a contract position with full-time hours for 16 weeks starting before June 30, 2023 and ending by no later than October 31, 2023 .

We are looking for a creative person with strong work ethic, communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well with other members of the team. As part of our team, you’ll join a family of like-minded people that live and breathe hockey.

General Duties

• Work with the Team Sales Department to create logos for customer requests
• Vectorize and digitize images for printing and embroidery
• Create mock-ups for customers, online stores and marketing material
• Set up digital graphic files so they are ready for the production team
• Work with other departments to help create marketing material for email blasts and online stores

We’re looking for somebody who:

• Has very strong Illustrator and Photoshop skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize personal tasks within a larger project
• Ice hockey experience or knowledge is an asset

Grant requirements:

• Must have completed training or education after Dec 1, 2019

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
