You will join an energetic and creative team obsessed with improving patient care with medical devices. Your initial focus will be on the epilepsy team, with important upcoming support opportunities in depression and obstructive sleep apnea. Position Summary

As Global Publications Director, you will ensure execution and drive impact of NM publications across therapeutic areas within the neuromodulation business unit of LivaNova, with an initial focus on epilepsy and depression.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Oversee the creation and execution of a cross-functional, global, scientific communications plan and publication planning team(s). This plan should include timelines and tactics to align with other business initiatives across a 5 year window.
• Develop scientific narratives for products and advanced product developments.
• Build dissemination plan and collaborate cross-functionally with corporate communications, legal and marketing for training and dissemination of articles, posters, social media posts related to publications, and lay summaries.
• Execute scientific congress medical affairs presence with high degree of expertise and awareness of adult learning principles
• Develop and maintain core claims matrix aligned to scientific narrative
• Execute publication plan through internal and external authorships, as needed, working closely with clinical strategy teams to adjust timelines and expectations
• Track independent investigator research publications and report quarterly
• Track competitor publications and report
• Hold annual publication strategy meetings to complement corporate strategy and goals
• Lead by example on business ethics, behaves in ways that are consistent with espoused values, regulations and principles. Behaves with personal integrity and compliance, and encourages others to do the same
  

Required Education & Experience

• Advanced medical or science degree required, preferably in neurology or neuroscience
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• 5+ years experience in medical affairs from pharmaceutical or medical device industry
• 3+ years experience in an academic or industry clinical research setting
• Experience in clinical design and analysis preferred
