Our client is a lead technical consultancy providing Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering and Advisory services across Canada. Due to growth, they are searching for a motivated Geotechnical Engineer (EIT) in North Vancouver, BC.

This is a great opportunity for fresh grads or new EITs, as our client has an accredited Member-In-Training Program for Engineers-In-Training (EIT) to fast-track their professional designation review and receive enhanced guidance in gaining necessary competencies for registration. Supervisors are trained by Engineers and Geoscientists BC and understand the requirements you need to become a successful applicant. Mentors can personally help you when you have questions about your application process.

Location: North Vancouver, BC

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the division’s key performance indicators;
• Support Lead / Senior Geotechnical Engineers to interface with clients and sub-consultants on projects;
• Support in the creation of detailed Geotechnical design reports and packages;
• Support in the preparation of estimates for design and construction packages;
• Respond to questions from construction crews, customers, utilities, and relevant third parties;
• Support in the management of scope, schedule, and budget on Geotechnical projects;
• Coordinate and support in the record of periodic status meetings;
• Participate in site work such as site surveys and field reviews, including coordination with contractors;
• Participate and contribute to RFP processes including developing execution methodology and estimating hours and costs for various opportunities;.

Requirements

• University Degree in Geotechnical / Geological or Civil Engineering and appropriate experience;
• Registered as an EIT with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) preferable;
• Project Coordination skills for engineering assignments; and
• Strong technical, oral and written communication skills.
