Funding Consultant

Position Summary

The Funding Unit within the Financial Services Department is responsible for monitoring and receipting wire payments for all payroll platforms. The Funding Unit maintains accounts with major domestic and international financial institutions allowing clients to process transactions globally. The Funding Unit also monitors high risk, high value clientele and exception processes.

The Funding Consultant will act as the subject matter expert for any Funding project initiatives as well as be the point of escalation in the absence of the Manager for all critical and sensitive issues. In addition to projects this role will focus on workflow oversight, support, and performance management of the Financial Services Funding Team. Other duties will include coaching of staff, BPI, reporting and liaising with other ADP business units on behalf of IMMS.

Duties and Responsibilities

Operations

Coordinate with Leadership and monitor all daily functions for department. Establish workflow and BPIs for funding unit. Oversight of client base in excess of 3000 domestic and international companies in all facets including; cash forecast, bank assignment, over threshold funding exceptions, US Reverse Wire clientele and receivables.

Coaching and Development

Coaching of associates on performance standards, soft skills, Individual Development Plan (IDP), succession planning, talent management and performance management. Design annual departmental objectives in line with corporate goals and divisional initiatives. Identification and placement of top talent in project and assignments suited to their skill set and pre-determined career path/goals. Regular reporting on performance trends and talent assessment with leadership of FS Team.

Relationship Management

Responsible for Relationship Management between internal and external clients, Canadian and International ADP stakeholders and global institutions.

Maintain close working relationships with Service Delivery Leadership to assist in escalation resolution and exception processing. Regularly coordinate with Credit and NSF department to resolve escalated client funding issues and mitigate risk to ADP. Maintain relationships with representatives from major financial institutions to ensure funding process externally is efficient, compliant, and effective.

Case Resolution

Ensure all case management and documentation is accurate and in accordance with preset SLAs. Review and oversight on use of current ADP CRM Tool. Management of business process and definition of SLAs for all offerings by the Financial Services Funding Team. Senior point of escalation for client IMMS issues and providing timely resolution via collaboration with internal and external clients, ADP stakeholders, senior management and business partners.

Risk Management

Ensure all financial control policy and procedures are followed in accordance with ADP Credit and compliance requirements. Actively display financial stewardship in approach to daily tasks as well as enforcement of financial regulations and SOX requirements.

Qualifications

Education:

• Post-secondary Education or equivalent experience
• Finance/Banking and/or Leadership training preferred

Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:

Required:

• Project Management/implementation experience - demonstrated ability to co-ordinate work initiatives
• C. Literate (MS Office - Advanced on all components)
• Coaching/mentoring and experience and performance management ability
• Well-developed presentation skills, with experience in providing presentations to large groups
• Proven ability to work in a deadline driven environment committed to team-work and compliance

Preferred:

• Minimum 5 Years business experience with a background in Financial Services or Insurance industry
• Experience in quality and client focused leadership expectations
• Strong operational knowledge of ADP products sufficient to understand a full spectrum of client issues
