Job Summary

Must present a personable, helpful, and professional image. Responsible for checking guests in and out of the Hotel, making necessary travel arrangements, and assisting with general information. Responsible for running reports required by Guest Service and Front Office Manager.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for checking guests in and out of the Hotel.
  • Issues room keys, discount cards, etc.
  • Computes bills, collects payment and makes changes for guests.
  • Answers various questions from guests.
  • Arranges transportation for guests.
  • Runs various reports on the computer for management.
  • Investigate discrepancies
  • Assist other departments with guest concerns or issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Lightspeed/Galaxy or prior use of a Property Management System would be considered as asset. Training will be provided.
  • Basic reading and math skills.
  • Knowledge of using an adding machine.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions.
  • Must be able to type 30+ wpm.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional manner under stress.
  • Must be able to work alone without supervision.
  • Must be able to answer questions concerning the Hotel and the local area.
