Stray Cat Industrial is looking to fill its Supervisor/NACE Level 2/3 Coatings Inspector position. We have seen an increase in demand from new and existing clients. We provide first class coatings services to the commercial and industrial industry. A Leader in Secondary Containments, pipe coatings, floors, tank liners, corrosion protection and Fire Retardant applications.

The applicant must be able to travel within Canada and will be required to delegate certain tasks to crew members. Our crews currently travel across Canada to service clients and perform the project requirements set out. We encourage personal training and development and reward those whom strive to better themselves which does not go unnoticed.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

- Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of equipment, trailers, generators, compressors.

- Must be able to perform heavy lifting of 50lbs

- Work under adverse weather conditions in multiple geographic locations

- Reading and understanding of Technical Data Sheets, engineered drawings and specifications

- Delegate tasks to crew members

- Train and mentor field staff in all matters

- Ensure all field staff have a clear understanding of the work.

- Keep jobsite clean of garbage debris, tools, and tripping hazards.

- Assist manager in appraising employee performance and related matters

- Generate ITP for projects, complete QA/QC documentation and ITP hold points.

- Ensure care and control of tools and equipment used on site.

Applicants should have the following skills, education, or experience:

- NACE Coatings Inspector Certification Level 1,2 or 3.

- Sand Blasting experience considered an asset

- Must have a Minimum of 1 year coatings experience (will train as required for right applicant)

- Class 5 driver’s license is required.

- Excellent understanding of technical specifications for coatings

- Must have strong project management and problem-solving skills

- Must have strong work ethic, positive team attitude and be able to work with others.

- Must be able to travel to job sites in Canada and work overtime as required.

- H2SAlive (Online), WHIMIS

Applicants are required to provide standard PPE such as Steel toed boots, side impact hard hat.

Qualified candidate must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, background and driving abstract verification.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
