ETG Commodities Inc. is looking for an SQF Practitioner to join our team in Swift Current, SK. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and within a team environment, demonstrates sound decision-making aptitude and will also be responsible for:

Duties:

• Lead the SQF project by implementing, verifying, validating, and maintaining the SQF system.
• Lead the Health and Safety program in the plant.
• Responsible for document control within the SQF system and implementation in our facilities.
• Lead and perform all SQF certification and recertification audits.
• Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with our FSQA Manager.
• Maintains work areas in a sanitized and orderly manner in compliance with regulations.
• Supervising our SQF procedures by conducting and/or evaluating various product tests, and operational procedures to meet specifications.
• Perform internal audits and fully document root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations.
• The position will assist in inspections and audits by regulatory agencies (FDA, CFEA), customers, and third-party agencies (SQF)
• Ensure compliance with product specifications, labeling, and regulatory standards
• Handle customer complaint investigations, resolution and tracking
• Maintain vendor approval program by requesting updated and new documents; perform vendor/supplier audit.
• Train team members in GFSI and SQF.
• Perform various miscellaneous and non-standard duties as required.
• Provide regular reporting to upper management on SQF & other Health & Safety issues.
• Work in compliance with ETG Commodities Inc. Occupational Health and Safety Policy.

Working Conditions:

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Two weeks paid vacation per year.

After successfully completing your 3-month probation period you will be entitled to Group medical benefits and Group RRSP.

Employment Qualification and Requirements:

• Knowledge of Food Safety Practices, Safety Programs and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
• HACCP and SQF Certified preferred.
• Internal Auditor Certified preferred.
• Knowledge of General Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
• Knowledge of labeling and nutritional contents as it pertains to FDA and USDA.
