F&B Auditor/ Bookkeeping Assistant

We are looking for someone to do a combination of audit shifts for the relief days of our full-time auditor and day shifts assisting with bookkeeping tasks. 32-40hrs / week.

$1.00 retention bonus for every hour worked till the end of contract.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work with computers and Excel with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Accountability for working with sensitive information and handling high volumes of cash
  • Capable of working flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
  • Ability to work alone and at night without supervision
  • Previous experience with auditing/bookkeeping in food and beverage or hospitality industry considered a great asset
  • Previous experience with Squirrel POS system desired but not required
Job Responsibilities

  • Daily count and record of cash in safe
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in cash out variances
  • Ensure receipt of cash outs including cash, floats, vouchers, etc.
  • Audit and document cashier/server postings on POS system (Squirrel)
  • Reconcile posting and payment variances recording any overages/shortages
  • Communicate discrepancies to manager and appropriate departments
  • Prepare due back tips to servers and cashiers
  • Prepare multi-unit cash deposits
  • Generate daily/weekly/period end reports, and transfer information to spreadsheets
  • Assist with recording warehouse transfer requisitions
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
