WestGen, Western Canada’s leading dairy genetics company, located in Abbotsford, BC, is currently looking for a Financial Controller to join its team to support the WestGen Group of Companies. Job Summary

The Financial Controller reports directly to the CEO and provides leadership and financial control to WestGen Group by developing and maintaining strong internal control systems, effective governance systems and broad, innovative financial reporting. The Controller is the financial gatekeeper of the Company, protecting the interests of WestGen for the Board, CEO, and staff.

Core Competencies

Your strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency as a financial controller will aid the WestGen Group in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls, achieving organizational targets, and developing financial plans that support organizational strategy.

Qualifications

• Professional Accounting Designation
  
• Experience with a multi-company environment
• 10+ years of experience and knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management.
