Title: Financial Analyst - Costing

Location: Laval Combination of WFH and remote

Salary: $75-85k plus benefits, discretionary bonus and awesome teammates

Our public company client is growing in the cannabis sector! If you are a financial analyst or cost accountant and understand material and production costing and inventory reporting - this could be your dream job!!

About Our Client And The Role

This publicly traded Canadian company is a licensed producer of high quality “craft” cannabis and operates through its cultivation and distribution facilities in Canada and the US. Reporting to a Controller, your responsibilities would include but not be limited to:

Responsibilities Would Include

• Perform cost-accounting activities covering material and production costs, costs of sales, product development, overhead and others
• Maintain and develop a cost accounting process with an emphasis on system integrity and standardization
• Assist in the tracking of inventory movement, and review the work of operations teams
• Valuation of biological assets under IAS 41
• Contribute to the preparation of internal reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability and accuracy
• Assisting in period end close process along NASDAQ reporting timelines
• Implement cost and inventory controls, including overseeing physical inventory counts
• Participate in Company audits with external auditors
• Serve as a point of contact with internal stakeholders and ensure effective communication and accurate inventory reporting

Qualifications:

• Accounting degree or CPA designation is preferred
• Bilingual French-English
• Excellent proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel),
• You have manufacturing industry experience and understand cost accounting and inventory count cycles.
• Public company experience is preferred
• You have good interpersonal skills, confidence, a willingness to learn, and professionalism.
• You have the ability to work independently but also work effectively in a team environment
