Our Client is looking for a Facilities Analyst who will manage the maintenance of the Cross-Dock building (parts sorting facility), winter and summer grounds, and plant sanitization activities. In addition to that, the role offers the opportunity to lead small to medium-sized projects and act as a field coordinator for larger projects.

Key Responsibilities

Management of Cross Dock building maintenance, including dock doors, HVAC system, fire protection system, generators etc.:

o Ensure completion of required preventative maintenance activity and archive documentation

o Troubleshoot issues with equipment/ building systems, determine root cause, and implement resolution

o Coordinate contractor activities for repairs, refurbishments, and project support

o Act as a liaison between internal groups, clients, and contractors

Management of winter grounds maintenance:

o Establish a winter preparedness plan with grounds maintenance vendor

o Order and track inventory of snow removal chemicals

o Establish a storm management plan for each forecast storm

o Conduct audits during snowfall events

Management of summer grounds maintenance:

o Identify areas requiring erosion, asphalt, and line painting repairs and co-ordinate resolution

o Verify that grounds maintenance vendor is following grass cutting scope of work

o Conduct 5S audits of the site and resolve concerns

o Support with project requests

Management of plant sanitization activities:

o Ensure janitorial services vendor is following scope of work

o Ensure sanitization of areas is maintained per standards through conducting audits

o Track inventory of sanitization consumables

o Support janitorial services with SWC revisions and processing of repairs

• Lead continuous improvement activities with a focus on cost reduction and equipment integrity improvements
• Support Capex projects with a focus on building refurbishments
• Forecast and manage annual budget for Cross Dock building maintenance, grounds maintenance, and janitorial services

Required Skills and Experiences:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Hands-on problem-solving and project management skills
• Experience with budget setting, cost control, and spending
• Experience with contractor/vendor management
• Experience working with cross-functional groups
• Proficient with MS Office, including Excel VBA
• Capability to interpret technical drawings
• Aptitude to adapt and learn new concepts quickly
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high level of autonomy and accountability for results
• Flexibility to support after-hours and weekend overtime requirements as needed

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Previous experience with building maintenance / Facilities
• Knowledge of NFPA, Ontario Building Code, and Ontario Electrical Safety Code is an asset
• Experience with AutoCAD
