In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for customer questions and issues related to the heavy equipment inventory.

• No auction experience is needed to work in this role! Lots of hands-on training will be provided.*

Your Day To DayUnder the direction of the Gate Manager, you’ll administer shipping & receiving documents, identify, record and label equipment serial numbers and assist the Sales team with appraisals and write-ups.You’ll Love Working Here Because You Can

What You Get

• Working on a casual basis. You will be called into work with as much notice as possible.
• Hours of work could range from 8-12 hours per day including weekends
• You’re a team player, helping wherever needed; but you can also self-start and work independently
• Meals catered at auction time

What You Do

• Provide assistance as required to the rest of the Detailed Equipment Inspection (DEI) Team
• Work both indoors and outdoors year-round and climb on and off large equipment and trucks
• Work regular overtime, including weekend hours. You can expect to work extra hours prior to each sale, during each sale, and after each sale
• Travel to other auction sites
• Promote a culture where the health and safety of our employees and customers is top priority for all

Here’s What You Bring1 to 2+ years of similar experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• High school graduate. Any post-secondary education is an asset
• Knowledge of -- or the desire to learn about -- construction equipment and trucks
• Strong customer service orientation. You have natural ease dealing with customers
• Excellent organizational skills. You’re the type that leaves no detail unattended
• Proficient with computers and good working knowledge/experience using MS Office Suite products (e.g. Word, Excel). Documentation processing experience is an asset
• You must be process-oriented and comfortable adhering to company policies and procedures to be successful in this role
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
• Highly motivated, goal-oriented and self-directed, and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively. You thrive working as part of a team and pitch-in wherever needed
