What You Will Do
  • Support capital asset investment processes performing triage, assessment and developing business cases for planned and unplanned project requests for assigned equipment class.
  • Lead the development and management of fulsome equipment strategies that optimize equipment lifecycle investment scope (capital + operating), throughput forecasting and equipment performance over 10 to 25 years.
  • Enable strategic sourcing and execution of equipment renewals to meet business unit objectives
  • Responsible to develop and monitor both long term and short-term performance tracking metrics for assigned equipment class aligned with our strategic objectives of improving asset performance while balancing safe and reliable operations, risks, opportunities and costs.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in engineering. This includes roles in engineering design, operations and project management.
  • Strong technical capability of the equipment class attained through either education, experience, or a combination of both.
  • Conceptual understanding of Enbridge Asset Performance, Risk Management and Reliability Engineering tools and strategies.
  • Demonstrate intuition for business and ability to contribute to strategic planning, thinking, and to lead and manage change.
  • Ability to develop new and improve existing, working relationships with internal partners, customers, vendors and service providers.
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in written form. Must be a strong facilitator to drive the maintenance planning workflow.
  • Ability to assess performance issues within the assigned equipment class and address reliability performance while balancing technical, business, risk and financial inputs and make a recommendation on solutions and how it will impact the immediate problem and the system.
  • Proven capability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines while managing partner expectations.
