Overview

Corner Brook Pulp and Paper is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to work within our Engineering Department:

Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Collaborate with and lead outside resources during planning phase of Capital Projects
• Lead and supervise project contractors as needed; act as project manager and technical resource
• Provide leadership for planning phases of capital projects
• Troubleshoot Electrical and Industrial Control Systems
• Support Maintenance reliability of Electrical equipment at Mill site or Deer Lake Power as required
• Work with maintenance group on an as needed basis to provide electrical advice.
  
  

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline. Other combinations of education and skills will be considered.
• 5 years of work experience in a similar role in a unionized environment preferred
• High levels of attention to detail
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Safety oriented
• The Successful Candidate(s) will be required to submit a Certificate of Conduct from a local police agency or the RCMP before commencing employment
  
  

This position wil be located in Corner Brook, NL.
