Your Challenge

EXP is searching for an Electrical EIT or Designerto join our Mechanical/Electrical Buildings team in our Hamilton, ON office. The successful applicant will be joining a diverse engineering group in Central Canada poised for growth and challenging opportunities well into the future.

Your Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of senior engineers or project manager, produce design packages including schematic diagrams, floor plans, equipment room layouts and schedules
• Under the supervision of senior electrical engineer or project manager, prepare concept reports, meeting minutes, specification and contract administration documents
• Conduct site survey for existing conditions when required
• Carry the electrical calculation as required for the systems
• Obtain information on equipment from suppliers and select equipment with input from senior designers
• Attend site meetings during construction with a senior staff member
• Contribute to all aspects of system level design and assist with other general tasks when needed
  

The Skills, Knowledge And Abilities We Seek

• Registered as an Engineer-In-Training with PEO
• Registered Professional Engineer is not required
• 1-5 years of experience, with a preferred focus in buildings consulting engineering
• AutoCAD experience required and REVIT MEP proficiency desired
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) products
