We have made significant investments in our Florenceville Potato Processing Plant, adding a brand-new, state-of-the-art production line and are looking for a motivated individual to be a part of the team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:

• 
  Reporting to the Electrical supervisor.
• Day shift including scheduled weekends and may be required to be on call (may be required to cover on shift during vacation)
• Actively contribute to the “TEAM” by working diligently to correct and prevent any instrumentation mechanical or electrical problems where there is a safety or food safety risk or where there is the potential to limit OEE.
• Support plant Capital spend with helping develop scope and management of installations and start-ups
• Responsible for identifying, detecting and documenting all potential electrical / instrumentation repair problems on the above-mentioned equipment during the course of your normal duties.
• Maintain and manage electrical, controls and instrument obsolescence program
• Ability to create and improve PLC programs along with some data analytics using the PI system, PLC program, and Factory Talk in order to support our MDI Teams (Glidepath)
• Managing daily SAP - Accountable for all Instrument/Electrical deficiencies/findings by creating a Work Notification (work orders, Maintenance plans)
• Installs, maintains, configures, and supports control network and process systems (Profibus, Devicenet, Ethernet) in collaboration with the site programmer.
• Help support and Service all process control communication networks
• Work with Process Control Engineer with developing and managing plant recipe control initiatives
• Services environmental and other analytical instruments
• Electrical, instrumentation and mechanical maintenance of all equipment at the Florenceville complex.
• Must work closely with production and maintenance supervision as a team player to keep line running with minimum downtime.
• Responsible for housekeeping in shop and any work areas.
• Perform other duties/tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Verbally communicate identified Emergency/Urgent repair problems effectively.
• Must comply with GMP’s, Safety, and HACCP Best Operating Procedures.
• Must be able and willing to promote continuous improvement of workplace safety.

Qualifications:

• 
  Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent GED
• Instrumentation Technician Certificate required; Industrial Electrician license will be considered. Proof of valid license is required.
• Background in electronics/PLC’s required and /or willing and capable of obtaining further Electrical training and certification, as well as further training within the areas of Instrumentation and PLC programming
• Self-motivated individual having good organizing and coordinating skills with a proven track record.
• Maintenance experience would be an asset.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Effective Verbal and Written communication skills are essential.
• Observant and detail-minded with a natural sense of urgency.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and CMMS programs.
