Early Childhood Educator (Full-time/Casual) – Richmond, BC

We are currently accepting applications from experienced individuals with a passion for the field and enthusiasm to inspire young minds and encourage children to reach their potential. YOUR IMPACT:

· Supervise children and ensure equipment and physical environment is free of health and safety hazards.

· Encourage independence, problem solving skills, and active learning to build self-esteem in an inclusive and respectful environment.

· Demonstrate positive adult/child interaction using effective and appropriate communication with children.

· Provide meaningful feedback and information to parents/families regarding their child’s learning and development, emerging skills, interests and the purpose of activities.

· Liaise with other agencies and individuals to support children’s progress and success.

YOUR CAPABILITIES:

· Early Childhood Education Certificate with a minimum of one years’ experience working with children and families and children, including children with special needs.

· Post Basic Specials Needs certification and experience working with children with additional support needs is preferred.

· Strong written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills.

· Demonstrated ability and experience to deliver inclusive programming with a sensitivity to people from diverse cultural, health and socioeconomic backgrounds.

· Current CPR and First Aid Certification.

· Clear, current Criminal Records Check.
