Under the direction of the Vice President of Global Operations, the Director of Operational Excellence increases productivity and leverages capabilities in support of higher business growth and improved business performance. You will support best practices in continuous improvement, including cost optimization, process optimization and standardization, operational business intelligence and analytics, and performance monitoring.

Your other key responsibilities:

• Directly support the formulation and execution of operations strategic initiatives and the development of long term goals and objectives
• Develop operational policies and procedures, and oversee the implementation and feedback process
• Acts as the champion for company operational excellence; establish the Farmers Edge process improvement discipline, establish and maintain work process architecture, and identify prioritize, and resource operational improvement initiatives
• Regularly review and report on competitor activities, in support of the development of the operational strategy
• Collaborate with other company teams such as Sales, Corporate Development, Product Development, and corporate teams to foster collaboration and connectivity.
• Work closely with Human Resources to support the attraction, retention and development of operations front-line and leadership roles; own the resourcing, training and development needs of the Continuous Improvement team
• Recommend and implement capital projects aligned with business goals and strategic plan
• Work with regional operations leaders and corporate finance teams to support the development of financial plans and budgets; monitors and provides regular expense reporting to the senior leadership team
• Attend regular regional operations calls, cascade information, and keep executive operations leadership abreast of relevant updates

This role could be a good fit for you if you have:

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience
• Demonstrated experience setting and measuring operational Key Performance Indicators
• The ability to understand complex systems and enhance business performance using data and analytics
• A desire to be both hands on and strategic, and a collaborative management style
• Experience leading organizational level change management projects and a track record of influencing change adoption

The ideal candidate will reside in Canada with the ability to travel both locally and internationally as required.
