We are a talented group of developers, designers and technology leaders designing leading-edge commerce experiences for TELUS. The Micro Architecture and Experience team, part of the Chief Development Office, brings new ideas and products to market in a rapid fashion with a bias towards product delivery.

We are building the future of the Ordering experience at TELUS building a cloud-native micro-frontend ordering experience. OrderHub will be used by agents around the world to support all of TELUS’ Home Solutions and Business portfolios, and will help to unify the ordering landscape across the agent, technician, dealer and self-serve streams.

You are a hands-on developer who has a bias for shipping code. You are a forward thinker who can strike a balance between the pragmatic needs of end users, and long-term growth and sustainment of the platform.

As a Software Developer on the OrderHub team you will be helping to build our next-generation agent ordering portal, and its underlying micro-frontend framework. The OrderHub team serves the needs of multiple lines of business across a growing number of TELUS’ customer segments.

You will employ industry best practices across development, security, accessibility and design disciplines to achieve the highest quality of service for our customers and team members. We use a range of technologies to get the job done: JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js, GraphQL and Google Cloud Platform.

• Develop scalable solutions with performance and security in mind.

• Participate in code reviews with other developers.
• Mentor and assist with upskilling more junior developers.
• Document APIs, tools and workflows when needed.
• Engage with other teams to identify opportunities for collaboration or re-use.
• Assist with technical interviews and assessments of candidates applying for roles within the team.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or a related field; or equivalent industry experience.

What you bring

• 1-2 years software development experience
• Demonstrated history of product delivery in a team-based environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated experience with front-end development
• Experience with React and Redux
• Proven experience delivering back-end components with Node.js

Great to Haves

• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience developing and socializing technology roadmaps
• Familiarity with system integration and data sharing concepts
• Experience with the Docker ecosystem
