Radish is a restaurant technology cooperative that is looking to bring forth a more equitable relationship between restaurateurs, delivery drivers and consumers.

The restaurant industry is one that is currently experiencing massive upheaval, from the likes of large foreign technology conglomerates, rapidly evolving consumer tastes and a world that urgently needs to address several major social, environmental and economic challenges. Amidst this disruption, we are looking to preserve the distinctive character as well as the 1.2M jobs of the Canadian restaurant industry through technical prowess and cooperative action.

Who are we searching for?

The key to our success is being able to provide the best delivery in town. We are looking for a motivated delivery driver to be a part of a dynamic and rapidly growing team and help change the face of food delivery. This individual will pave the way for future delivery drivers and partake in the defining best-practices for our delivery operations going forward.

The candidate’s responsibilities will include:

• Picking up meals at member restaurants and delivering them to our customers in a safe, timely and courteous manner.
• Performing order validation; verifying that the restaurant has included and properly packed all items in the order.
• Engaging with all our members, partners and clients with the utmost respect and with a friendly demeanour.
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner; respecting the Highway Code and any other applicable laws.
• Maintaining a clean and polished appearance, both personally and also in terms of your vehicle and any provided uniforms.
• Providing rudimentary technical assistance of our ordering tablet at our member restaurants.
• Espousing the mission and values of the cooperative.
• Performing other logistical tasks as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

• Class 5 Driver’s License
• Smartphone with data
• Vehicle in good working order
• Appropriate vehicle insurance
• Strong communication skills, ideally in French
• Previous delivery, restaurant, or customer service experience is a bonus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Seasonal, Internship / Co-op

Salary: $14.00-$19.00 per hour

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekend availability
