Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Customer Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for project execution resulting in successful customer product launches encompassing Sierra Wireless technologies. You will define, monitor, document, communicate and drive multi-disciplinary program efforts to achieve business & project goals. Your work will involve coordinating and driving multiple projects, working with end customer design wins with Sierra Wireless modules and/or IoT solutions integration. This role can be performed remotely or in a hybrid capacity.

Responsibilities
  • You will lead efforts to define requirements, coordinate with customer to define & develop project plan; establish schedule, project milestones and deliverables.
  • You will author Statements of Work (SOW) as required.
  • As the primary liaison with the customer, you will build trust and relationship to ensure excellent customer experience.
  • Your customer management and communication skills will ensure timely and accurate responses ultimately resulting in satisfactory customer acceptance of deliverables.
  • By proactively assessing, managing, and mitigating risks, you will manage expectations on short and long-term deliverables and/or changes in schedule while also tracking and ensuring timely resolutions to open issues.
  • You have the capability to utilize & influence various disciplines and cross-functional teams internally to accomplish project goals.
  • You are committed to keep all internal and external stake holders informed on critical paths, risks, and milestone achievements.
  • You will support project kick-off & business review meetings with customer, providing visibility into our alignment with customer product launch plans.
  • Travel: 15%
Required Education, Experience & Skills
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer software engineering, or a related discipline with 3+ years of related experience.
  • Customer facing project management experience; Cellular/Wireless platform/device project experience is an asset.
  • Outstanding customer management & negotiation skills with good business acumen.
  • Outstanding verbal & written communication skills.
  • Outstanding reporting and presentation skills.
  • Strong capability to initiate collaboration and bring together various expertise to attain goals.
  • Experience with R&D hardware/software product life cycle.
  • Good understanding of product development aspects; functional knowledge of hardware and software and RF is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Telecom environment, wireless network architecture and IoT solutions is a plus.
