Customer Marketing Manager (16 month contract/rotation)-2110526

THE POSITION

Participates with the cross functional team to develop the Integrated Customer Plans (ICPs)for the brand(s), patients & specific customer segments in line with corporate Integrated Business Plan (IBP), strategic objectives & Critical Success Factors (CSFs). With guidance from the Senior Customer Marketing Manager and/or Business Unit Director, translates ICPs into omni channel campaigns, develops & produces content/programs, leads campaign automation flow mapping & assists with the communication of the ICP & campaigns to relevant cross functional teams, including the Customer Facing Team (CFT) to ensure understanding, buy-in, and optimal implementation. Monitors brand performance & contributes to development of cross functional action plans to ensure exceptional customer experience as well as commercial objectives are met or exceeded.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Mindset & Integrated Customer Planning: Demonstrates customer focus, brand knowledge and competitive understanding. Assists and may lead the development of the ICP or parts of the ICP (as assigned by the Senior Customer Marketing Manager and/or Business Unit Director) for targeted customer segment(s) to achieve strategic & commercial objectives as well as greater customer satisfaction. Ensures voice of the customer is part of the strategy & execution and includes customer needs early to create positive customer experiences. Helps identify relevant customer touch-points and ensures tactics are aligned with customer preference to create meaningful engagements. Collaborates with cross functional Therapy Area (TA) partners to ensure customer journeys and campaigns are integrated across functions and channels.
  • Omni-Channel & Digital Savvy: Proactively develops & implements omni channel campaigns based on customer engagement preferences, customer needs & commercial objectives. This includes the development, approval & production of all assets to be included in the omni-channel campaign and utilised by the CFT. Responsible for mapping campaign automation flows & orcehstrating next best actions to support sales direction for campaign implementation. Explores opportunities for innovation within the existing channels as well as new channels. Works with cross-functional partners to ensure the integration of the customer experience across channels and brands. Cascades learnings to accelerate development of collective digital savvy.
  • Communication & Leadership: Demonstrates strong communication skills through effective presentations using the most appropriate communication style for the audience. Works with cross-functional stakeholders & relevant external stakeholders (e.g. vendors, agencies) to ensure ICPs & campaigns are rolled out & implemented effectively. Assists with or may lead the development of the assigned integrated POA Playbooks, setting the tone & direction for the brand’s POA (either live or virtual) & shares key key concepts in the form of a story to engage with CFT & other relevant cross-functional stakeholders. Accountable for leading and delivering assigned campaign elements and maintains timely and regular communications with all cross-functional brand team members, and alliance members where applicable.
  • Customer Focus & Business Insights: Applies critical thinking skills in order to ask questions to better understand the business, market research and analytics to come up with actionable insights. Assists with gaining a deep understanding of customer needs & perspectives that impact brand strategy & ICP development. Active customer focus & engagement through multiple channels (e.g. frequent 1:1 interactions, field rides, etc.) to gain first-hand feedback on campaigns & implementation, enhance insight generation & supplement data-driven decision making. Co-create value-added materials & services for ICPs with customers to optimize customer experience with BI & our products. Helps identify opportunities, risks and challenges.
  • Execution and Performance: Helps establish clearly defined metrics based upon agreed upon objectives. Assists the Senior Customer Marketing Manager and/or Business Unit Director in the development of the forecasts. Monitors product & competitor performance, as well as campaign & customer response metrics to better understand the business and makes recommendations for adjustments to the Senior CMM/BUD for review/approval. Helps in the co-creation of contingency plans in anticipation of multiple challenges. Accountable for Direct Promotional (DP) budget and resource management for assigned brand tactics.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelors degree
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in the pharmaceutical industry (sales, access and/or associated functions such as medical affairs)
  • Experience working directly with digital partners, ICPs, omni-channel, digital and content creation, would be assets
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budget and resources
