The Opportunity:

As a Tailings Operations Efficiency Coordinator, you can help make a real difference by contributing to the Company’s ongoing efforts to improve Execution Excellence. Utilize your expertise to improve initiatives in the overall tailings business unit improvement plan, evaluating and developing KPIs to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Tailings Operations maintenance department.

Key Accountabilities:

• Steward the improvement plan for tailings to close current gaps identified in the recent Operational Improvement Plans
• Implement tools and technology to increase supervisor efficiency and correspondingly the efficiency of the crews
• Improve Tailings Operations with better procedures that are standardized
• Completing an assessment and cost benefit analysis of fit for purpose tools to increase operator efficiency and to improve long-term cost structure
• Evaluate and develop KPIs to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Tailings Operations maintenance department
  

Other Details:

• Job location: Albian Oil Sands - Fort McMurray, Alberta
• Shift schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off, Monday to Thursday
• This is a safety sensitive position
• Eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Relocation Regular Policy
• Company Sponsored Fly-In/Fly-Out and Accommodations Program with charter flights from Calgary or Edmonton
  

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years industry experience preferably in Oilsands
• Bachelor’s degree required; Business degree is preferable
• Strong collaboration and communication skill to form strong relationships to drive change
• Detailed orientated with using analytics to support the improvement strategy
