We, at Altima Cabinet Works Ltd. are looking for a self-motivated accounting professional who is business minded, results driven and company focused to fill our position as controller.

The Responsibilities Of The Position

Reporting to the President, the Controller will help build and maintain internal processes, assist in delivering the daily financial responsibilities and be accountable for all financial resources. Other responsibilities include:

• Accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close and reports.
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, and accounts receivable, as well as banking transactions
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of customer invoices.
• Government/Insurance remittances on time and accurate.
• Support the President with special projects and process improvements.
• Payroll processing and job costing
  

Education And Acquired Skills

Preference will be given to candidates who have an Accounting Designation (CA,CPA,CMA or CGA), however it is not a requirement. The successful candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, margin analysis, ERP system implementations/integrations and effective leadership skills. Other preferred skills/experience:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Results oriented.
• Proficiency with MS Office (including Word and Excel).
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience is required
• Drivers License
