WHAT’S THE JOB?

Join our NRB Modular Solutions team, where our people are driven by a desire to innovate, do social good, and move construction forward.

As a Contracts Coordinator, reporting to the Manager, Contracts you will be responsible for providing contract management expertise throughout the planning, design, procurement, construction, and start-up stages of the Modular Solutions’ project lifecycle in accordance with policies and procedures. Relative to the sourcing and issuance of client and supplier contracts, you are expected to serve as a single-point-of contact for the Modular Solutions team, to serve as a trusted advisor and to provide senior commercial and contractual advise throughout contract lifecycle.

Your Work Will Include
  • Contribute to front-end project planning activities: attend project kick-off meetings; draft and administer the project’s Contracts Plan.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies and drafting or overseeing all RFx activities (preparation, issuance, evaluation, award).
  • Drafting and stewarding for approval commercial recommendations for award.
  • Contract drafting and formation.
  • Manage all post-award contract administration (including contract change management).
  • Throughout contract lifecycle, ensure supplier compliance to policies, qualification requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Responsible for optimizing NRB’s commercial position while maintaining a strong relationship with its client and project partners.
  • Manage the maintenance of reportable savings throughout contracts’ lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • Degree or designation in a related field (combination of education and relevant experience would be considered).
  • 3 to 5 years experience with RFx and contracts in supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated experience with construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian construction contractor market.
  • Previous experience in residential and commercial construction is an asset.
  • Understanding of contractual and technical terms, including various construction contract models (ex. lump sum, reimbursable, time and materials, etc.).
  • Understanding contract law and the legal principles related to contract drafting/interpretation.
  • Commercial, cost control, risk management and contract requirements awareness.
  • Excellent Organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
