The Contracting Specialist role offers a wide variety of responsibilities and the opportunity to build strong relationships with our clients (Insurance Advisors) through seamless customer service and support in Eastern Canada. If this opportunity intrigues you, keep reading for more details about the role!What Your Day Will Look LikeReporting to the Supervisor, Contracting – Eastern Division you will support our winning team by:
  • Facilitating Advisors and AGA groups in the contracting and onboarding process and gather all required documentation to be submitted to insurance carriers
  • Review contracting requirements, provide options for contract completion and assist with implementation
  • Handle licensing and sponsorship requests
  • Process Buy/Sell agreements on block transfers ensuring all necessary steps are taken
  • Liaise with Carriers to obtain rush broker codes to facilitate prompt processing of new business
  • Maintain complete accuracy of the broker contracting, compensation hierarchy and compliance data
  • Ensure new broker contracting applications are screened for accuracy, missing information or poor credit
  • Document and escalate concerns or risks based on facts gathered from Insurance Councils, Carrier Head Offices or other information obtained by HUB
  • Follow up with all insurance carriers to ensure all contracting and licensing submissions are processed in a timely manner
  • Ensure all day to day contracting receipts are processed in a timely manner
You will be successful in this role if you have:
  • A positive attitude, the constant desire to help others, curiosity, and the ability to deliver consistent performance
  • 3-5 years industry-related experience
  • Really strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills (‘this is super important’)
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite & most online meeting platforms
  • Although you do not require the completion of a post-secondary education, it will help your growth if you have a college diploma or university degree (‘we will teach you the industry specific knowledge’)
  • Great communication skills (oral and written)
