The Commercial Business Intelligence Developer will develop and modify reports and dashboards in order to provide timely and accurate information to the user community. The position also involves monitoring the BI environment in order to ensure that the platform is available and that scheduled reports are generated as required.

Description

• Use BI tools (PowerBI, WebFocus, Excel Power Pivot) as well as query tools (SQL)to develop Commercial reports and dashboards in order to better understand products and to help with customer profiling.
• Develop, unit test and document enhancements or new applications on the front end (dashboards, user interface, generated reports).
• Interact with users, Business Analysts and QA in order to deliver bug free reports and dashboards according to the required specifications.
• Interact with ETL developers during the development of new automation processes.
• Test and modify existing BI reports during application upgrade cycles.
• Provide production support for existing reports, including schedule monitoring.
• Support and train users in the usage of the BI applications.
• Provide off hour support for critical applications, when required.
• Optimize BI reports in order to ensure early data availability and decrease report generation latency.
• Provide second level help desk support for internal users.
• Interact with external vendors as required in support of project or daily work.
  

Qualifications

• Very Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experienced developer of engaging and interactive dashboards and reports for end users.
• Advanced Business Intelligence skills with BI tools such as PowerBI, WebFocus and Excel Power Pivot.
• Sound knowledge of HTML5, jQuery, css, vbscript in an asset
• Experienced writing complex SQL in order to extract and analyze data is an asset.
• Expert knowledge of Excel.
• Good customer service orientation essential.
• Excellent team player who interacts equally well with Business Analysts, End users and QA.
• Solid time management skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Self-starter with an ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure and to multi-task with a strong sense of priorities.
• Good writing and presentation skills.
• Marketing and/or Airline knowledge is an asset.
