Rheaume Engineering is seeking an Engineering Co-op Student for a 4 or 8-month term. This role will be based out of the Rheaume Engineering Inc. office located in Calgary, AB with a potential term at the Grande Prairie office and will report to our GHG lead. Rheaume is an Alberta-based engineering firm providing quality, fit-for-purpose solutions primarily in the energy, forestry, and mining sectors and are an industry leader in GHG reduction projects. MAIN DUTIES
Work within multi-discipline project teams to execute various project, mechanical, and package engineering tasks.
Emission Reduction Tool Development

• Developing the Emission Reduction Tool to evaluate scenarios, help our clients prioritize their projects and recommend the right technological solution.
• Reviewing regulations, funding applications, and technology specifications to provide inputs into the technology selection tool.
• Assisting with ensuring all reviews and approvals are completed for the tool.
• Identifying areas of opportunity for technology improvement.
• Conducting short tutorials for the company on completed tools.

Research and Development of New Technological Solutions

• Executing R&D of the next new groundbreaking technology

Project Support

• Project work will be assigned, as applicable.
• Gathering of emissions data and calculations.
• Managing and organizing data.
• Technology selection.
• Assisting with detailed engineering design.
• Working with other disciplines such as process, instrumentation, drafting to complete project deliverables.
• Projects are typically related to oil and natural gas processing facilities but can also be in agriculture and forestry.

Types of Projects Include:

• Carbon capture
• Waste heat recovery
• Compressed natural gas
• Helium
• Methane emission reduction
• Engine exhaust emission management

• Strong understanding and competence with Microsoft Excel.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Second year or beyond Chemical, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering Student.

COMPENSATION
The chosen candidate can expect a competitive hourly rate based on experience and education.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $37,000.00-$99,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
