CNC Punching Machine Operator

Position Scope

We are seeking an energetic CNC Punching Machine Operator to use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions. The job is important since some materials are difficult to shape or handle manually. CNC punching operators are highly skilled professionals, able to work with great concentration and precision. The successful candidate is responsible to and comply with all safety guidelines, have a keen eye for details and possesses great mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate CNC punching machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Understand specifications of the tasks at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
• Safely operate CNC punching machine (safety training will be provided)
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
• Prepare test runs to check if the machines produce of the output according to specifications
• Program machines to complete full cycle fabrication large number of parts
• Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to product a better result
• Inspect and measure finished products, and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
• Carry out any other ad-hoc duties as required

Qualifications & Abilities

• Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as CNC punching operator
• Skills in operating CNC punching machinery, precision measurement tools and other hand tools
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawing
• Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
