Home Care Assistance Waterloo is currently hiring PSWs who have good interpersonal skills and a good command of the English language.

Compensation: Up to $19/hr (Based upon the experience)

Working hours: Days with Availability between 8AM and 8PM and alternate weekends

Work location:Oakville, ON

Offers:

Duties:

• Working 1:1 with clients and/or assisting multiple residents.
• Taking care of client(s) with their daily routine such as medication, bathing, changing clothes etc.
• Assisting with prepping the meals.
• Keeping a track of all the client’s health and report any changes to the RPN (Registered Practical Nurse).
• Check for any symptoms related to Covid-19 and report if found any.
• Maintain proper and detailed documentation of work on a daily basis.
• Assist with laundry and other departments when needed.
• Follow government health rules and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
• Work in a team of different PSWs available in the centre to take care of all the clients.
• Ensure the PPE (Proper Protective Equipment) is worn all the time for safety purposes (PPE will be provided from us).
• Perform other duties assigned.
  

Qualification:

• Previous experience working in a similar role.
• Comfortable working around positive Covid-19 care recipients.
• Experience working in a nursing home considered a strong asset.
• Excellent written, and verbal communication skills.
• Good knowledge of healthcare rules and regulations.
• Must be a team player.
• Able to work under pressure.
  

Pre-requisite

• Valid G Driver’s License and access to vehicle.
