Are you a highly driven, self-motivated salesperson looking for an opportunity to make a big impact on businesses across Canada? We are looking for a remote Business Development Representative to join our growing team!As a Business Development Representative, you will be the initial point of contact to find potential clients who may benefit from our services. You are self-motivated, solution- and goal-oriented, and don’t take “no” for an answer! Your strong customer service skills enable you to understand the needs of potential clients and form meaningful connections. You will support the customer from start to finish in collaboration with the larger team and have a keen eye for adding value to the relationship – even beyond specific tax credit financing. Your detail-oriented nature enables you to keep our client relationship management system up to date.Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage the leads provided by the marketing and sales team to secure the interest of potential clients.
  • Own relationships with potential clients to understand their overall financing needs.
  • Promote our services through in-person networking events and trade shows.
  • Be able to clearly and persuasively articulate how our product would benefit the potential client.
  • Be tenacious in your follow-up with potential clients who have not yet expressed interest in our services.
  • Update our CRM after each client interaction to keep our database current.
  • Connect clients who are interested in our services to our team of Account Managers.
  • Meet KPIs (i.e., placing the minimum number of outreach calls, following up, etc.) in addition to self-established goals.
Your Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in sales.
  • Brings a competitive spirit.
  • Commercial lending experience in the finance sector (i.e., lending, banking, venture debt, asset-based lending, AR financing, factoring).
  • A keen appreciation of the value of social capital and the ability to build strong relationships with potential clients and partners.
  • Highly persuasive with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong aptitude to follow through on client relationships and communications.
  • Self-starter who enjoys working independently and setting their own goals.
