Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Sport Management, Commerce, Advertising and/or Fund Development
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous related job experience
  • Full complement of sales skills
  • Ability to identify and create marketing initiatives
  • Must work independently
  • Understanding the college athletics and recreation landscape
  • Experiencing and understanding the Advancement Event and funding cycle
  • Budget cycles, projections, reporting
  • Clear, reliable and transparent communication is required both digitally and verbally.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Fundraising Executive considered an asset

Job Description
Keyano College is a comprehensive community institution in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Stretching from north-central Alberta to the borders of Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories, Wood Buffalo is one of the largest municipalities in Canada. Keyano College meets the training and skills acquisition needs of industry and the Wood Buffalo community’s personal enrichment and cultural needs. The College provides lifelong, relevant, and practical learning opportunities and is committed to increasing access to post-secondary programs.

Advancement Services requires a Business Development Manager. This position will create a network of individual and corporate donors to generate revenue to support Huskies Athletics and the SSWC, as well as support the business planning of the SSWC. This includes new business partnerships, revenue-generating initiatives & programs, sales, advertising, and sponsorship development.

Please note this is a term position, starting in July 2023 and ending on or before August 30, 2024.

Advertised Salary
$7,467.50 per month and includes an attractive health and benefits package. This position qualifies for the Northern Living Allowance of $1,040.00 per month. This allowance is reviewed annually and is subject to budget approval.
