Business Development Executive
POSITION: Full Time

REPORTS TO: Director of Procurement

The Business Development Exec, working with the CEO and Director, is responsible for prospecting for new future clients either through networking, cold calling, earning referrals, or other strategies that will generate interest from potential net new future clients and indirect routes to the future client.
Building a relationship with them, earning their trust, and learning about their needs will be among your responsibilities as a Business Development Director. As well as setting objectives for growth, you will provide support that will continue to improve the relationship.
It is the responsibility of the business development director to work within the Development, Renovation, Construction, Design, Architecture fields across multiple geographies in many industries such as Architecture and Design services, Hotel and Hospitality, and Luxury Contractors.

Role and Responsibilities
Develop new business opportunities in British Columbia and Alberta, as well as North American turnkey projects, with a focus on hotel & hospitality, residential, and workplace projects.
Enhance revenue and sales within existing and new accounts to new levels.
Evaluate the market for competitively held customers and prepare a list of target corporate accounts for approval and ongoing monitoring.
Develops and implements strategies to promote competitiveness.
Is able to target certain assigned existing customers for broadening and expanding their business relationship
Partner with the Procurement team to ensure that the Director is informed at the appropriate time when end user opportunities have been closed.
We must have the ability to understand market trends, when to integrate our services into new accounts, and how to communicate effectively about those processes as needed.
Generally an interrogator and well connected to the A+D and construction communities.
Establish a roster of regional leads, keeping informed of newly implemented processes and being able to communicate effectively about processes when necessary.
When presenting and administering sales processes to these identified target accounts, they evaluate client needs and apply available resources as well as newly developed resources to address emerging, cutting-edge issues and challenges.
An expanding company will require a high degree of commitment and a strategic mindset to perform the role successfully.
