Location: Virtual Role with Travel to BC, AB, MB, SK and ON .

Preference for Ontario Based, BC and Quebec also

Salary comes with a base (based on experience ) and a competitive commission

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Business Development Representative will work closely with clients to grow and promote the sales of custom private label manufacturing and natural health starting materials within North America and various countries . The Business Development Representative is the first line of contact with all new clients. He/She establishes and maintains long term business relationships with new and current clients. The Business Development Representative listens to what features are most important to the clients to build out a custom program for white label manufacturing, custom product development and starting material procurement opportunities; they also examine similar products that exist in the field and rival companies’ products and presents findings, detailing what the brands proposition can offer potential clients and how to sell those products & services in a competitive marketplace.

The ideal candidate is passionate about health and wellness manufacturing.. You will be the first point of contact for our clients. You are versed with manufacturing sales and will be expected to lead as part of a team in the collaboration of sales plans that will set monthly sales goals and define the action plan for how to achieve the monthly sales goals set.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Conduct appropriate internal/external research, recommend sales approach and respond to external requests in a timely manner
  • Identify prospects and opportunities in the marketplace and develop intelligence to the build out proposals based on the clients needs and objectives
  • Build strong relationships with your clients in a fast-paced, constantly moving environment of private label manufacturing
  • Build a deep understanding of the contract manufacturing and raw material world markets and the factors that influence its performance
  • Clearly communicate sales or service opportunities and client concerns or suggestions
  • Develop new or update existing sales materials for current and future pursuit efforts as required
  • A strong understanding of & support production planning, warehouse, logistic and R&D teams
  • Establish and maintain long-term business relationships with new and current client base
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor products and services and identify and report intelligence on competitor marketing strategies
  • Monitor client feedback and handle client issues in a courteous, prompt manner in order to maintain a loyal partnership with all customers
  • In a support role, manage clients expectations with the services and products they are procuring
  • Provide assistance and support the data collection, lead generation, sales pipeline movement, reporting activities, coordination and expediting information
  • Maintain good relationships with key decision makers and influences across clients
  • Attend trade shows and other sales related activities
  • Organize and participate in sales response-related meetings (internal and/or client), as appropriate and travel to customers as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Passion for health and wellness
  • A confident sales demeanor who is comfortable cold calling clients and possesses experience in closing sales with all types of clients
  • Minimum 3-5 years of wellness or food manufacturing experience, preferably sales and/or consumer packaged goods experience
  • Naturally passionate about proactively engaging with and caring for clients to understand their needs and explain our products and services available that influences their decisions
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic role and open to continuous growth and evolution of responsibilities
  • Knowledge of manufacturing advertising and sales promotional techniques
  • Ability to receive and act on feedback; resilient, curious and seeks to learn
  • Strong computer, data entry, and typing skills; ability to work between multiple technology platforms; able to learn and utilize new technology as service evolves
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Google applications
  • Proficiency in sales management (Sales Force, Pipedrive) and CRM systems
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize while maintaining a pleasant and calm demeanor with clients and companies
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written and listening) skills
  • Self-starter and able to successfully work with minimal supervision , driven by results
  • Great problem solver with ability to collaboratively engage with clients, companies and other team members to create innovative solutions

Salary: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
