Reporting to the Business Lead, Procurement, the Procurement Business Analyst will be responsible for providing purchasing services for various projects and achieving its procurement objectives.

What You’ll Do Here:
People
  • Participate and collaborate with business teams to implement new solutions to simplify day-to-day functions, improving performance.
  • Form relationships with all key stakeholders; operations, finance, procurement, information services, across all divisions, etc.
  • Provide leadership and direction to business units for processes and procedures related to procurement functions
Processes and Tools
  • Provide technical support in the development of processes and procedures related to the Procurement functions
  • Support the design and implement strategies for compliance to the Procurement Policies
  • Aligns the operational requests to the development of toolset, assist in the design
  • Verifies that requirements defined are met by the capabilities of the toolset, through testing and user acceptance
  • Provide technical support and training on all procurement initiatives and programs
Performance
  • Provide technical support and system subject matter expertise to Functional Groups.
  • Provide critical Project Start-up support including the issuance of Purchase Orders and New Vendor Creation
  • Remain current with industry trends and new innovations/technologies, and communicate across Aecon as appropriate

What You Bring to the Team:
  • 3-5 years of SAP Procurement/SCM experience required
  • Experience with Material Management in SAP required
  • SAP SCM Certification is considered an asset
  • Exceptional communication skills, well-spoken
  • Knowledge of integrated business processes and systems
  • Experience in the heavy construction industry with a focus on Infrastructure
  • Experience with working in a matrixed environment and engaging/obtaining buy-in is considered an asset
