Myticas Consulting’s Government of Canada Client is looking for Technology Architect Level 3, to assist in designing and planning for VMWare upgrade to version 7 and up.
The client is addressing its aging VMWare infrastructure as well as software which became end of life as of 2018. The VMWare upgrade (software and infrastructure) requires the expertise of a vendor trained subject matter expert to assist current resources with the critical support of this service.
Scope
The work will encompass the guidance, architecture and design, troubleshooting, configuration and support during the upgrade of critical IT Infrastructure and virtualization software. The vendor will assist with the upgrade of current infrastructure ONSITE and MCDC Data Centers as well as producing designs that will be used for the new deployment of the virtualization software on new infrastructure.
Tasks/Technical Specifications
- Support for vSphere upgrade: path 5.5 -gt; 6.5 -gt; 7.0 of current infrastructure
- Audit infrastructure for improvements, enhancements and features that Provide better/optimal service and performance for our client
- Align with VMWare Cloud Foundations OS provisioning platform
- Integrate with existing VMWare infrastructure Cisco ACI
- Design and implement VMWare Cloud foundation
The resources have must a security clearance of RCMP Secret Reliability throughout the course of the contract.
