What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities branch in Victoria, BC is currently seeking an Associate to join an advisory team focused on providing wealth management, insurance, and asset management services. You will assist in growing the business by providing exceptional client service, by taking care of administrative duties related to client accounts, and by responding to client, team, and prospective client inquiries.

What will you do?
  • Responsible for the professional servicing of telephone and email communications with clients, advisors,
prospective clients, and other partners
  • Support the Portfolio Managers and other team staff in general administrative duties in the management
of client accounts and the preparation of client reviews and presentations
  • Support the Team in various marketing, event planning, and social media oriented activities
  • Request information and documentation from clients to open accounts and keep client files up to date
  • Execute and Follow up on client trades
  • Monitor all pending transfers to ensure completion on a timely basis
  • Other duties, as required, in support of the team and client base
What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated skills in providing exemplary client service
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
  • An ongoing commitment to professional dress and deportment
Nice-to-have
  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures, an asset
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in securities industry
  • Enthusiastic, committed, and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Economics
